“Our RAP programme is aimed at offering more consumers a greater opportunity to obtain their own homes, especially for buyers who are having difficulty in obtaining a housing loan currently,” says Lina.
Selangor Dredging Berhad’s recently launched ‘Reside-and-Purchase’ programme for potential house buyers have been overwhelmingly received by property buyers.
“Our RAP programme is aimed at offering more consumers a greater opportunity to obtain their own homes, especially for buyers who are having difficulty in obtaining a housing loan currently,” said its corporate affairs head Lina Othman.
RAP is the first programme of its kind by any developer in the country.
Under the programme, buyers just need to place a 5% down payment on the desired property and they can move in immediately. The loan differential is to be settled by up to to 36 months in rental, and the balance can then be paid off via a bank loan at the end of 36 months.
“One of the biggest advantages of the RAP programme, besides easing buyers’ cash flow challenges, is that they can lock in their dream property at currently prices,” added Lina.
“In addition, buyers will be able to feel a strong sense of ownership in their future home and build on their asset. This in turn will turn into greater care for their soon-to-be property with the realisation that their rent money is earning them a home in the long run,” said Lina.
The RAP programme is applicable to the company’s projects called “Windows on the Park” in Cheras, “Laman & Bayu” in Puchong and “By the Sea” in Penang. For more information, please call 03-9074 3388.
